Some folks might chuckle a little when they hear the word gout. But if you are unlucky enough to experience an attack of gout in your big toe, it is no laughing matter, it is very painful.

I am not a doctor or any sort of medical professional so check with yours before trying my recommendations. All I can say is that this treatment worked for me -- your experience may not be the same.

Took The Vitamin Shoppe’s versions of:

Boswellia Serrata Extract 250mg – 1 tablet 3 x a day – NSAID alternative, great for the pain and burning!

Celery Seed 1500mg – 3 tablets 3 x a day – “Celery seed contains a chemical called 3-n-butylpthalide, or 3nB. In his book "The Encyclopedia of Healing Foods," Michael Murray writes that celery seed extract containing 85 percent 3nB can successfully treat symptoms of rheumatism, a generic term for arthritis. According to Murray, over time 3nB may help dissolve uric acid crystals. Read more:

Yucca 450mg – 1 tablet 3 x a day – scroll down for info about saponins --

Devil’s Claw Extract --  1 tablet 3 x a day --

Dynamic Health Organic Certified Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate – Hit it straight from the bottle or 2 oz. to a pint of Zephyrhills Spring Water, 3 to 4 pints a day

The first night of flare-up I took ½ tsp of Arm and Hammer Baking Soda in a half cup of water. Do not add cherry juice to that, you will get a cherry volcano! Took that 3 times and once the next morning to change my blood pH.

Stopped the flare-up and pain by the middle of the next day. I was fine Thursday night. Great yesterday and nothing today.

Drink plenty of water, you will be peeing a lot.

This helped me. If you experience a flare-up of gout give it a try as it may help you too.
