Fall Gardening Season has arrived in Florida. This is a great time of the year for gardening because of lower daytime and evening temperatures, generally lower humidity and mostly fewer bugs and insects to eat your herbs and vegetables.

Here is a picture of my heirloom tomatoes, some of them already are putting out flowers. Hopefully I will be able to enjoy some garden fresh tomatoes soon!

Florida Fall Growing Season is on now!

If you want garden fresh tomatoes, consider putting in your garden now. I began my tomato plants from seeds back at the end of September. I purchased my seeds online from Tomato Growers Supply Company which is located in Ft. Myers, Florida. I chose them because of their great selection of heirloom tomatoes.

I have noticed that as my tomato plants have gotten bigger some bugs have been attacking them. To prevent any big problems from starting with an infestation I have been spraying with organics, namely Southern Ag Bt concentrate (to interrupt the growth of caterpillars) and Neem Oil concentrate (to control Fungal Diseases, i.e. Black Spot, Mildews, Rusts, and Scab and Kill Mites and Insects such as Whiteflies, Aphids, and scales, plus whatever else might be munching on my plants).
