"I just wanted to comment on the great garden resources you have put together here: http://floridagardener.com/links.htm. My class will be starting a herb garden soon and I found some great class activities from your suggestions, thank you! I also wanted to share this guide to growing herbs I've been using that has a great kids section: http://www.herbco.com/t-herb-gardening-guide.aspx. I figured other teachers may also find it a helpful addition.

Dear Ms. Jennings,
Thank you very much for your comments. I am glad to hear that teachers are making use of FloridaGardener.com photos and research. I was a teacher for a while, a high school substitute teacher in Volusia County, Florida. The kids there were great, but that was not the profession for me. Teachers have to put up with a lot and they do not get the respect (or money) they deserve for it.
Fellow Gardeners, if you talk to a teacher, please tell them thank you for choosing their profession. They do not get nearly the respect or pay that they deserve for what they do. Like our troops, they are vital for America's future.
